internal relaxation

For the first time, Limin mentioned that our internal organs often carry more stress than the external  muscles.  ” if the internal organs are relaxed, it doesn’t matter if you’re legs or butt are tensed”.  She emphasized that  relaxation of the organs is more important than external relaxation.

During the practice I’m thinking  that sensing tension inside is difficult.  The sensors are indirect. Internally,  muscular and other activity except for breathing and maybe heartbeat, is not directly linked to will or consciousness / mind.

We now add awareness of the shoulders and elbows being “very heavy” to the sensation of a heavy tailbone, and of the head being pulled up, but the three points are the shoulders, elbows and tailbone are heavy as part of our awareness technique.

Shoulders and elbows dropped

In practice we did the set twice. On the second,  (tailbone down a given),  emphasis on dropping the shoulders and elbows, that the elbows are dropped most of the time, not sticking out or lifted,  relaxed.  Note to remember shoulders as a point to practice.
